Attractions
Surfing and Swimming
There are surf beaches at Sussex Inlet (patrolled in summer) and Berrara
which have beautiful clear water and soft yellow sand. Dolphins can often
be seen in the late afternoon about 150 metres offshore.
Boating, Water-Skiing and Sailing
Inscape farmhouse is a 10 minute drive (in part along a 6 km dirt road)
from Swan Lake, a sandy and largely shallow lake suitable for small boats
and very child friendly.
The boat ramp at Sussex Inlet gives access to the large unspoilt St Georges
Basin and the crystal-clear waters of Tullarwalla Lagoon.
Open sea access is also available from the boat ramp across the bar at
the end of Sussex Inlet.
Fishing and Diving
Sussex Inlet provides a great variety of fishing opportunities from the
sheltered waters of Swan Lake and the Inlet itself, to the larger area
of St Georges Basin and the mangroves around the creeks that feed into
it, to deep sea fishing and off-shore diving.
Deep sea charters for up to 8 can be arranged with Escape Fishing Charters
who operate from Greenwell Point, about a 40 minute drive north of Inscape
Farmhouse.

Horseriding
There are many kilometres of fire roads throughout the Conjola National
Park which provide beautiful and peaceful horseriding trails. Swan Lake
is about a 1 hour ride away through the bush and a good day ride is to
the Boyd Lookout, on the eastern side of the highway, about 14 kilometres
from Inscape Farmhouse.
The facilities at Inscape Farmhouse include stabling and accompanying
holding yards for two horses. There is also an adjoining larger exercise
yard. Feed can be supplied at an additional cost if requested at the time
of booking.
Guided horseriding tours of the National Park can also be arranged at
extra cost if desired.
Golf
There is an 18 hole golf course at Sussex Inlet which welcomes visitors
of all standards: you will find that one of the interesting local hazards
are kangaroo spectators.
Antiques, Arts and Craft
Milton is an historical village about half an hours drive from Inscape
Farmhouse and, with plenty of parking, you will enjoy strolling around
the antique shops and the arts and crafts shops. There are also several
delightful coffee shops and gourmet delis where you can have a quick coffee,
a sit-down meal or purchase a ready-cooked gourmet meal to be brought
back to the Farmhouse.
Wildlife
There is a great variety of wildlife that lives on the farm and in the
National Park around the farm and all you need to do is to sit in the
pergola or the screened veranda in the early morning or late afternoon
and you will see a regular parade of native wildlife who came to the farm
to feed.
At Badgee, the northern part of Sussex Inlet, kangaroos can be seen for
most of the day feeding on the front lawns and footpaths of the houses.
As well as the dolphins off Sussex Inlet beach during summer, whale-watching
charters can be arranged during winter with Escape Fishing Charters.
